Setup and Configuration

Access VoiceWarrior Settings from the main menu by clicking the Gear icon labeled General.

General Settings

VoiceWarrior can be configured to run on system startup.

If you are on Steam, you don't have to worry about updates. Steam handles that. If you have a non-Steam version, you can select to check for updates on startup.

Voice Control

VoiceWarrior offers several modes of voice control that determine when the system will detect speech:

Command Prefix: The specified text will be added to the front of the voice trigger text for every command, and listening is enabled by clicking the Microphone button.

Example: If a command has a voice trigger of "Play Music", and your prefix is "VoiceWarrior" then in order to execute the command you must enable the listening mode by clicking the Microphone button, then say "VoiceWarrior Play Music".

This will prevent you from accidentally triggering a command since you are not likely to say "VoiceWarrior" in conversation.

Always Listening: Listening is enabled by clicking the Microphone button.

Example: If a command has a voice trigger of "Play Music", then in order to execute the command you must enable the listening mode by clicking the Microphone button, then say "Play Music".

Push To Talk: Listening is enabled by pressing the configured key and holding it while speaking. As soon as the key is released, listening will stop.

Example: If a command has a voice trigger of "Play Music", then in order to execute the command you must enable the listening mode by pressing the push to talk key, then say "Play Music", then release the push to talk key.
